Technique case

Keep one character's face stable across 6 shots

A character's face and features change as shots move between wide, close-up and profile.

Example scene

Urban mystery, 30 seconds, 6 shots. Night-shift clerk Lin Xia appears in a full-body wide, a medium at the counter, a profile turn and an emotional close-up.

Steps
Write an identity card with 7 fields: age, face shape, features, hairstyle, costume, accessories, build.
Generate 4 references from it (front half-body, full body, left and right profile) and pick the front half-body as the master.
Condense the card into one fixed description, save it as text, and paste it verbatim into every shot.
Attach the master as the reference for every keyframe; change only framing, pose and expression.
Line up all 6 keyframes side by side and redo any single frame whose face, hair or badge differs.
Keep image-to-video prompts to the action plus holds at the end; keep any head-turn shot under 4 seconds.
Prompts
Character master
25-year-old Chinese woman, narrow oval face, almond eyes, shoulder-length straight black hair, grey-blue convenience-store uniform, thin orange tie, silver badge on the left chest, slim build, tired but alert. Front half-body, realistic cinematic style, soft studio light, plain grey background, no text, nothing in hand, no other people.
Keyframe (profile turn)
[Paste fixed character description]. She stands behind the counter, slowly turning her head from profile toward the glass door, brow slightly furrowed. Medium shot, eye-level camera, cold white fluorescent top light, desaturated cool teal palette, vertical 9:16. Keep face shape, hair, uniform and badge identical to the reference.
Video
She slowly turns her head toward the glass door on the right of frame, her look shifting from tired to alert. Small movement, locked-off camera. Keep features, hair, uniform and background layout unchanged; no new people or text.
✕ Failed take

Each shot was generated from “young female clerk”: round face and short hair in the wide, long hair and a pointed chin in the close-up, badge appearing and disappearing. Viewers think it's a different person by shot 3.

✓ Passing take

All 6 shots are instantly the same person. Pass criteria: face shape, hair length, uniform colour and badge position all match; the last frame of the turn shot matches the master with no obvious difference.

Before/after clips are in production. Follow the steps and prompts to reproduce the result.
