Troubleshooting

Visual style shifts between shots

Some shots look like live-action film, others like animation or illustration, and the colour and texture don't match.

Why it happens
  • Different shots were made with different image or video models.
  • Style words vary from prompt to prompt, mixing “cinematic”, “realistic” and “CG”.
  • No fixed palette or key-light direction, so every shot improvises its own lighting.
How to fix it
Pick one image model and one main video model for the whole series and don't switch midway.
Write a fixed style block covering style, palette, contrast and key-light direction, and reuse it word for word.
Attach one approved scene master image as the style reference for every keyframe.
In the edit, match exposure, white balance and saturation across shots until the differences disappear.
Before and after
Fails
Cinematic, premium, full of atmosphere.
Works
Realistic cinematic style, desaturated cool teal palette, medium contrast, key light from cold white overhead fluorescents, detail kept in the shadows.
Prevent it next time:Lock the model and the style block before production and keep them for the whole series.
